I'm about 98.1% certain you have Vaughn Monroe's version Mike. I couldn't find it on youtube, yet there are many renditions available. This song was made for him.
I heard it all the time as it was my parents' wedding song in 1939.
When Monroe's version came out..maybe after WW2?..that was the one they played every anniversary.

True. He's my current #4 favorite male singer. But I also think his
voice is absolutely perfect for the standards. His "Nearness of
You" (also on the above playlist) is equally beautiful.

Even I wouldn't go *that* far. Fabian' great with old pop songs like
"Ain't She Sweet," and "Cuddle Up a Little Closer" (he kind of has a
Somethin' Smith feel) ... but he couldn't sing the standards.
