For me it's Freddie McGregor. My best radio interview, partly because
he was so nice and frienly. He walked into the studio and said, "Hi,
I'm Freddie McGregor." What a humble guy.

Well, I've met less than 20 artists and my
votes go for Anthony B, Shaggy, Sean Paul and
Chico. I interviewed Shaggy before his gig
with my friend and after the gig the first
thing Shaggy did was that he came to ask me
and my friend whether we liked the show. Chico
is a very positive, smiling and cheerful guy.
Anthony B and Sean Paul are very sympathetic.
I'd like to big up a couple of producers
as well: Startrail boss Richard Bell, Danny
"Main Street" Browne and Jeremy "2 Hard"
Harding - all of them great persons.
I expected Harding to be a tough guy in
bench press (he had the equipment at his
studio), but he made excuses that he isn't
really into weight lifting and that
the equipment belongs to Sean Paul.
So, I didn't bother to challenge him... :-)
Later,

I'd have to say Jr. Reid, Luciano, Pato, Ijahman, Leroy Sibles, and
Leroy Wallace. Sanjay
I haven't met very many artists either compared to most on thislist, but
in presenting nationally touring acts at a college for the last two
years on a weekly basis (reggae, ska, blues, jazz, rock, funk, etc.)
prob. the nicest act in any genre I've worked with has been Justin
Hinds. Winston Grennan was quite nice to work with as well.
And getting to meet Roland Alphonso will always be a special memory, he
certainly belongs on this list.

Rugs is nice, but meretricious in a lead singer style (no offense, perhaps
it was cause I was working for them). Now Ibo is one DEEP cat.
I would appreciate it if you identified yourself.
I have to agree with you about Freddie, one of the nicest people you'll
ever meet. But, I will also add Junior Reid, Beres Hammond, Quino (of
Big Mountain), Ranking Roger, Drummie Zeb (of Aswad), and Bumba Brown
(of Steel Pulse).
Blessings,
Lionheart

Really? Can you post a little bit about what you talked to him about
and what he's up to these days? I was amazed to hear that some of his
recent lovers rock sound is awesome, with his voice in top form.

I would definitely have to agree. Any man that's willing to get on the
floor and ply with a 2-year-old in his dressing room (as he did with my
daughter Melissa 9 years ago) has my vote. And he didn't mind having
his beard pulled, either.
