Echo Lake Records, a Decatur, Georgia independent record label, is pleased to
announce both the fact of its existence and the availability of "BANANA
SEAT", the first CD by Atlanta-area singer/song-writer/story-teller/thespian
Andy Offutt Irwin.

Andy (aka Offutt) grew up and still lives in Covington, Georgia. He
currently has a part-time day job as Artist-In-Residence at Oxford College of
Emory University where he served as Interim Director of Drama in 1991-92.

In 1984-85 he served as Artist-In-Residence at Georgia College where he wrote
and directed "Through the Needle's Eye: A Celebration of St. Francis". The
play enjoyed a second successful run at Duke University in a 1986 production
directed by Rusty Styron.

In 1985 Offutt moved to Orlando, Florida where he spent the next five years
writing, directing, and performing comedy with "SAK Theatre" at EPCOT Center.

Offutt now performs in theaters, colleges, clubs, coffeehouses, churches,
nursing homes, and bowling alleys. He is a monthly regular at the Freight
Room in Decatur, GA. and the Red Light Cafe in Atlanta. He is a writer and
performer with the Georgia Renaissance Festival where he has his own stage
show ("Offutt the Minstrel") and was voted one of the favorite acts by
visitors attending the fair's 1995 Spring season.

On June 9, 1995, Offutt will be in concert at Atlanta's Shakespeare Tavern (a
venue he sold out in a solo concert last August) in celebration of the
release of his new CD, "BANANA SEAT". The album includes a spoken short
story, one jazz standard ("Kiss to Build a Dream On"), and nine original
songs including an a cappella rendition of "Clarice", a song often performed
by local favorite, Shawn Mullins, and recently recorded, in classical
circles, by the Amherst Men's Double Quartet.

BANANA SEAT is available at gigs and at Rainy Day Records (800-636-6166,
404-636-6166, ra...@mindspring.com,
http://www.hidwater.com/RDR/rdrhome.html).

Echo Lake Records will soon announce a Web site where our artists will be
represented. Watch this space! Thanks for your support!
