First Set
chalk - always a good opener
gin - nice end is tapping into the sublime...but not 100%
yamar - i just love this song. so fun, upbeat and groovy - sweet-as-
candy jamming...
bag - rock'n -- awesome, awesome was to lighted up the ending to
start...
Esther - sweet
divided - always....
halleys - madness, madness, madness
bowie - nice set closer
the segment to start set 3 is the greatest phish I have seen
live....better then glenns falls, better than NYE 95........
enjoy!!
I think this Gin is fantastic. The jam toward the end never fails to
give me that rush to the head followed by a few tears. I think I'm
going to listen to it now...thanks :).

Don't get me wrong, it's a great place for this song and really helped
get the music to 'take off', and quite early in the set. That being
said, I've been listening to *a lot* of phish and it wasn't a peaker
(and rightfully shouldn't be). Just not the best I've *ever*heard.

amazing grace was a kick in the ass encore......nothing worse than
ending out the first nite at the first fest with a snoozer song.....I
remember feeling the same way walking out after the new years show
that same year!!
I can see that...especially if you're planning on raging all night. I
felt the same way about the 7/12/00 velvet sea.

I hated that encore at Deer Creek when it happened. Now, I LOVE it.
Perfect end to a great week of music.
I tried for my own clifford ball listening, or at least set 1 nite
1....
my notes go as follows.....gas mask on, opening notes to
chalkdust.....we are putting an IV in your arm now.....okay you can go
into the recovery room now....ah, man, I gotta sober up with my mother
looking at me....I havent had to do this in 20 years....
the tune up for chalkdust was great, unfortunately the IV took over
before I heard much more.....
just wait till the DWD thumps its way in.......
