So, I was happy to find out that I finally scored in the lottery:
Behind the stage and directly side-stage 200 sections... I was
disappointed because I always thought that PTBM had the hook-ups for
the best seats, but no. Just the same assortment that the outlets get.
Luckily, I had also put in for a long-shot "insurance" bid. I
grovelled to my sister-in-law who has a line on occasional VIP tickets
for the Wachovia. Somehow, I was able to score two of these and bought
them. I still don't know where they are because I haven't received
them, but I'm figuring on club box.
So, I had four extra tickets and was psyched to be able to provide for
some phans who would be desperate to get into the show... right? Turns
out there doesn't seem to be much of a demand for 11/24 tickets, and a
massive supply of extras out there. I did everything I could think of
to try to sell them. I put them on craig's list and the people I
corresponded with flaked out. My wife eventually put them out for
offer on her Facebook status and her friends snapped them up for face!
Lucky for us.
When I received my FedEx envelopes last week, I pulled everything
apart and consolidated them into one envelope. I was psyched to handle
my first mail order tickets ever, even if I wasn't going to use them.,
but it was bittersweet.
Yesterday my wife asked me to locate the tickets so that she could
deliver them to her friends. They were nowhere to be found. I scoured
the whole house and went through the same piles of bills, envelopes
and papers, over and over, to no avail. Our best guess is that the
envelope was left on the table, and "recycled," mistaken for junk
mail!
So, on the bright side, I'm going to see the show still... But, it's
hard to get over the fact that I pissed away $240 and 4 peoples'
chances to see the show. If there is a moral to it, I guess it is to
treat your hard-fought tickets like cash. Have phun, folks. -Jamie
you never know, you just might see your garbage man at the show w/
three hotties:))
Hey,
Good news! Just in case anyone runs into the same thing. If you call
MusicToday with your receipt #, they will let you pick up the tickets
at Will Call with your ID and receipt. So, I didn't eat a $240 crap
sandwich like I thought. Peace,
Jamie
