Through all the jams, whether they were low-key or a mind-bending
cacophony, a clearly refreshed Anastasio wore a perpetual look of
childlike wonder, as if the music were nourishing his soul. There were
many moments of improvised, satisfying musical resolution -- and
revelation -- but perhaps none more so than the fact that the crowd
loved the new songs as much as the well-worn classics. Phish is back,
and better than ever.
