I'm going to be spending some days gorging on the Met, and staying in
that neighborhood also, but I really need wi-fi broadband access for a
couple hours a day. Is there any such facility in the area?

I don't have any subscriptions or like that. Maybe one of the Central
Park hotel lobbies--or would they throw me out?

Failing wi-fi, I could probably put my programs on the iPod and use a
desktop computer (with a USB port). Is there an internet cafe in the
neighborhood?

Many thanks!

I seem to remember doing all this in 2004 from a café - could it have been a
Starbucks ? Eeeeeeeeek! - just a few doors down 57th from Carnegie Hall. And
I'm English. So if I can manage it.......
