I would love to see, and be able to purchase, a blu-ray Tosca with Netrebko
as Tosca, Villazon as Cavaradossi, and Pape as Scarpia.

Could it come true???

Not with Villazon. His voice can no longer withstand the pressure of a role
like Cavaradossi. The other two, certainly.

Possibly Sir Pappano, or of course James Levine if he is healthy enough.

Yup. Well, if he's not available, how about Fabio Luisi or Tony Pappano?

Van Dam's was pretty chilling, too! (Too bad it was only available in a
"pirate" of the La Monnaie performance!)

It is possibly but I agree, not with Villazon. It is amazing how Netrebko's voice has matured and darkened, I have a La Sonnambula with her where she sings the role as a true coloratura, now she has evolved into a beautiful spinto bordering on a light dramatic soprano. bravo!
