Hi all,

Two albums that I enjoy a lot, particularly as background music, are
Checkfield's "Water Wind and Stone" and Schönherz and Scott's "One Night
in Vienna." Both have a mixture of acoustic/electronic instruments and
real orchestration, with expressive melodies and deft arrangements.
Both are also sadly deleted!

What other albums are there that are similar in feel to these two? I
listen to a fair bit of David Arkenstone, Gandalf and Stephen Caudel,
but these fine artists are different again to the above two albums.

Please post recommendations here!

Regards all,

Ian

Hi Ian,
nice you mention those two great artists.

do you mean their music is not available any more? Would be sad
indeed.

well, I think there is a lot of music out there which is more or less
comparable. One artist that comes to my mind is Hans Zimmer (film
music). Also some stuff of Vangelis. Or Chris Spheeris. I'm sure
others might come up with many more names.

yes, but you would hardly find other musicians who exactly copy their
style (this would not be very "artistic" anyway). But I hope the kind
of "spirit" their music represents will stay alife :-)

Greetings
