But John Ottman's H20 score IS being released by Varese Sarabande,
under the name "John Ottman: A Portrait of Terror" - it just contains
no references to the film. :)

With all the rejected filmscores we've heard of lately, maybe Varése (or
someone else) can start an "Unreleased Film Scores" series...

Nope - not even in the track listing (which is as follows):
1. Main Title (includes HALLOWEEN theme by Carpenter)
2. Laurie
3. Narrow Escape
4. Advice
5. Rest Stop
6. Disposal
7. The Evening Begins
8. Seventeen
9. Face to Face
10. Letting Go
11. Here's Company
12. Sonata for Mollie
13. Death of a Nurse
14. Final Confrontation
15. He's Dead
16. Road Trip
17. Farewell, Michael
Track 2 used to be called "Laurie Strode", which would be
the only direct reference to the film.
Please keep in mind that this is not guaranteed to be the finalized
track listing - it is just based on what I was told (which is, of
course, subject to change).
Also, little "Carpenter-isms" are spattered throughout the score,
which is really nice. And don't forget the nice "Psycho" reference
in Track 4!
Looking forward to seeing how it comes out....
Whoa, not even in the list of tracks?
