Ok, so rec.music.(anything) will never pass, so for all you funkateers,
here is my Offical anti Sir Nose kill file, to keep you from sinking into
this zone of zero funkativity (wreck.muzak.mess).. I have set the followup
to this message to junk, so please don't bother.. If you have any additions
or revisions, email me and I will summarize them.

The stuff in this file was taken from article titles in the last two
months, so it is by no means complete.. anyway, it grows every day..

Having read two kill files on the net thus far, I'm left with the
inescapbable question:

After having killed virtually the entire newsgroup, what is left to read?

One more:

Should we start a rec.music.killfiles to keep up with the inevitable series
of kill files that are going to show up now for the next few months?

The band so nice, he kills 'em twice! :-)

My killfile is nowhere near as all-encompassing as some of the ones posted,
but I notice the same effect. That's why I don't have a problem with 100
posts per day -- only about half that many are left after a (conservative,
IMHO) kill, and maybe only 10-15 after judicious use of the "k" key. Before
the screaming starts again, yes, I do understand that not everyone has this
option...

%) Gawd, no. People posting killfiles is as bad as posting lists of their
favorite bands... more aesthetic exhibitionism, IMHO (I was probably guilty
of this to some extent when I listed some bands I liked in the midst of an
argument here a while ago, and in 1989 when I posted a "best of 89" list. I
hereby apologize!).

But if they do start posting killfiles, maybe they could put "Killfile:" in the
Subject line to help out those of us with killfiles. %) %)

Even with my 400-line kill file, I still have to wade through almost 70
articles a day, maybe ten of which I want to read. Still, it's better than
wading through twice that much. GNUS's "^K" command helps too.

Kinda ironic, isn't it, that pretty soon everyone will be putting the
phrase "kill file" into their kill file?

Umm, excuse me, why do you bother reading rec.music.misc? This kill file must
leave you about 1 message every other week (probably a personal to someone
anyway!).
