What I Want To Know Is, why is there an Explicit Lyrics warning on the front of Ministry's "Twitch"?
I have not yet had a chance to really listen to the lyrics on all the songs yet. Can anyone tell me why there is an Explicit Lyrics warning on the cover of this album?

Does anyone know if some of the old Nina Hagen albums (like Unbehagen, Nina Hagen Band, NunSexMonkRock) have been re-released on CD?
I recently stumbled across some used copies of the LP's, and am wondering if the rather extravagent prices for some of them are worth it. One way or another, I have to replace my worn and damaged tape of NunSexMonkRock/ Unbehagen.
Fantastic old stuff. Nina had a voice that could range from gutteral demonic muttering to operatic (didn't she have some classical training?) to naive child like ramblings to rock and roll singing, all in one song. The music was odd but rocking. -- jer...@quito.stat.washington.edu

And what I want to know is, why don't record manufacturers simply put Expicit Lyrics warnings on every single record of any kind that they package?

I can't find anything about her having classical training but she did graduate with honours from the Studio fur Unterhaltungsmusik (Studio for Popular Music).
I also noticed that a Paul Shaffer is credited with synth on NunSexMonkRock. Is this the same Paul from Late Night?
I can just hear them now...... Bermudaaaaaaaa....

I wouldn't be surprised if she *did* graduate with honors in this school. She *is* very talented. Bizarre, but VERY talented. I mean, how can anyone create a song and mix disco, rhythm and blues, and OPERA in the same song????!!!! She's a gem...

Hmm, I think that Ms. Gore (her name fits her character!) has been neglecting her job :-) There isn't an explicit lyrics warning in Nine Inch Nails' "Pretty Hate Machine" also!!!

Is this a misprint? You have The Tralfamadore Mix on both of the songs listed here and I believe that the one that has this mix is "Star". And while we're at it, is there a CD-single of "Wish Me Luck" by Ofra? I've only seen the CD-single of "Ya Ba Ye" but that's it from the "Desert Wind" album.

I called Sire records to ask the above titled question. The first response I got from their publicity people was:
ALL ALBUMS CARRY THE EXPLICIT LYRICS WARNING
My reaction: "I was hoping that was what you would say..."
As far as "Just say DA" is concerned, there are several songs that have explicit lyrics, in particular, the ICE-T track "The girl tried to kill me" which describes a sadomachacistic (sp?) sex encounter. I think the track is really very funny! -- -Dave da...@vacs.uwp.wisc.edu [....uwm!uwpvacs!datta]

I suspect this song is the one that earned the sticker. Its a er.. rather forceful song about the environment. It's chorus is "Breathe, breathe, breathe you fucker!"
> 8 4.11 The Girl Tried To Kill Me, Ice-T
Ice-T is a very outspoken opponent of record labelling. His track might also be considered "unacceptable" by the labelling zealots.

Yes, that is correct. I goofed. The mix of Wish me luck is the "Karamatzov" mix.

I am not aware of a Wish Me Luck single. (I hope I am wrong tho :-)

This is the one Dave. Ice-T has a foul mouth, but the song is hilarious. I strongly recommend the disc (you shouldn't pay more than eight bucks for it) for the Ian McCulloch, Ofra Haza, Morissey, Depeche Mode, Erasure, and Ministry cuts, as well as to piss off the people who hope the labels will make people buy fewer "explicit" albums. In fact, buy the new Jane's Addiction, and any other album with the label, just to piss them off, a la best-selling BBC-banned British albums, even if it means buying NWA :)
