This is right downstairs from the Loft open mic, so the idea will be
to hit both, making the new season a sure smash for performers. See
y'all on the streets of Broadway tonight, I sure do hope.

nobody cares.
Yet here you are, sniffing behind with your desperate whines about how
you care so little... giving new meanings to the term ''begging to
differ''.
Anyway, the first Trip Wriggley ''front porch pickers'' episode went
well, with many old homeschool musicians from years past, when Tripp
was a big force behind the classic Uptown Tap days of Bubba Wade and
Larry Caddel, appaering- Charlie Tignor from Auburn, Dean of the
legendary Skydog Gypsy band on guitar, Bibb City Ramblers Brian Fowler
and Dan Davidson, and a blast to the past as Brian Fowler, Gene-0
Woolfolk, Henry Conly, Dean Skydog and Kerry Lowe did cover of
Locomotive Breath, like in the old days of 2000 or so.
Next week Tripp's booked Riley Yielding, Rick Edwards and the Dockery-
Conley show to headline, with many assorted special guests.

nobody still cares. Ain't it amazing?
Since you're obviously ''nobody'' and you obviously ''still care'',
this is correct.

Since you've been following behind every post I make for months now,
no.

Yet here you are, obviously interested enough to play the jeering heckler.
And since you seem so interested, here's the suggested sequence for the
Dockery-Conley third of the show at the Vault:
1. Twilight Girl
2. The Surgeon General
3. Desk Clerk at the Courtyard
4. Balck and Blue Night
5. Fade Away Encounter
6. Truck Stop Woman
7. Crawford Road Crawl
8. Cheshire Bridge Road
9. Falling From Grace
10. Wobble
11. Ozone Stigmata
12. Black Eagle Lady
Back at the turn of the century, Tripp Wrigley's songwriter's series was one
of the big nights of the week, in the early days of Uptown Tap. Now, years
later, TW's back, now at the Vault in downtown Shadowville, with his new
songwriter/front porch picking nights... every Wednesday.
This week will feature sets by Rick Edwards, Tripp Wrigley, and the
Dockery-Conley Show, along with some special guests.
Hope to see ya'll there.

That dwarves don't see Master's Blacks in mirrors?
Or that they don't even see swords?
Or that they see other people's internal URL calls and HREFs?
Obsess much, little quacking thing?

snipped it before kicking you.)

*The lost epic story of Moby Grape*
Special thanks to Brian Fowler for turning me on to a sound I'm 41
years behind on: Moby Grape. Fowler's "Peace Mix" compilation included
two songs that immediately had me hooked, and I went on a search for
these:
"One has such lines as "I know you're leaving soon..." and "Please
change your mind, before my sunshine is gone..." turned out to be
"8:05" and the other "It's all in the game... looks like you're
playing it through, looks like you're playing it too..." is "Sitting
By The Window", both from the apparently amazing first Moby Grape
album, released just weeks after Sgt. Pepper, in 1967.
A pretty good Moby Grape collection called "Listen My Friends" I've
found from that first record, with cuts from the other three or four
that followed. Seems from this NPR article there was a 5-CD set
reissued last year, then pulled because of a cease-and-desist from
Moby Grape's eternal thorn in the side, ex-manager Katz, who over the
past 40 years has continually fouled up any progress, keeping them off
the Monterey Pop film that made such artists as Jimi Hendrix and Janis
Joplin household names, and then claiming to own the name Moby Grape,
keeping the remaining members from performing under the name for 20
years or so:

*Dockery and Conley Show October 29*
Tripp Wrigley's Wednesday songwriter night at the Vault continues to
gain momentum, the October schedule including shows from Tripp's
"core" group of performers: Buck Bradshaw, Rick Edwards, Riley
Yielding, Dan Davidson, Brian Fowler, and on October 29th at 9pm,
Dockery and Conley. We'll be joined by [special guest], who's been
collaborating with us on the dozen and counting new songs D&C have
been writing this Summer, including this one, that sprang out of a
Conley riff instantly:
Psychedelic Sorrow
Everything's looking groovy
blow my dice for luck.
The Thin King's coming back on deck
driving a used fire truck.
Made it through another Thursday
all the poor folks got paid.
Psychedelic sorrow
the news is all around.
On the street corner the word is love
in this shaking town.
Everybody's saying nothing
saying it quite too much.
Some girl's riding a donkey
going down like a rocking lush.
Standing downtown at the stump
at high noon in the shade.
Psychedelic sorrow
the news is all around.
On the street corner the word is love
in this shaking town.
Everybody's knocking groovy
sniffing thier lives away.
Thinking all my credit's been cashed
in this old heart sway.
Made it through another Thursday
still can't get the time of day.
Psychedelic sorrow
the news is all around.
On the street corner the word is love
in this shaking town.

Oh, come on. Dockery LUUUves himself /'way/ too much to be narcissistic.
How do I love me? Let me spout the ways.
I love me with the barroom mike and light
My arms can reach when girls are all I fight
For dregs of beers, though thrown into my face.
I love me to the depth of every day's
Most desperate need to prove that I am right
On nineteen NewsGroups where I only bite
Though I am always desperate for Praise.
I love me with the Passion drowned in booze
For my old griefs, the dead life that I tout;
I love me with a love I always lose
With my first post to any thread I pout;
And though I'm desperate for /anyone/ to schmooze,
I love me better after I pass out.
Just wondering, since you always spell "existence" and "exisitent" as
you do above.

You also wonder how soap works, yet you try not to discover the reasons.
Idiot. Spelling lames? How fucking sad.
You brag about being an *English Major*, college educated, /and/ being
a newspaper reporter, yet you repeatedly spell the word as
"existance".
That's notable.

I don't brag about it, but yes, I was, and yes, I have the degree and the
job, unlike you, who has nothing besides an unreadable scribbled signature
on the back of a piece of cardboard, the front of which says WILL WRITE
POEMS FOR FOOD.
Now scream (or scram, whichever) pizza boy. You annoy me.

Jealous much, Dockery?
Here's a headline for you: IDIOT WRITES POEMS; PUBLIC PERFORMANCES POOP.

Duckery your latching onto typo lames like a leech to a pizza boy swimming
in a pond is amusing but stupid just the same. Pleased to be trying
something less moronic, thanks.

When you show me something I might posibly be jealous of then i'll let
you know, Orson.

yes, Issent it horrible that sombody should write what they feel
WITHOUT haffing wasted years at school learning to do it propperley,
Mr. Arson? i Think mister Dockery shouldst be ASHAMED of himself for
achieveing better-than-average results and NOT haffing a bit of paper
off of sombody else what says he CAN.
mister Dockery, PLEASE do NOT write ANYMOAR songs until a Joint
Metriculation Board hafe CERTIFIED yoar ability - yoar Lyrics USED to
make sense to me, but since mister Assron pointed out you are
COMPLEATELY INQUALIFIED i suddenly fined yoar stuff to be a jumble of
chords and words what i find totally incabable of hearing propperly!

I wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to you for proving that,
WHEREAS there is at least one froup perfectly willing to wade through
Dockery's shit to suck his cock,
BE IT FOUND THAT said Dockery comes to rap/aapc solely to be kicked
regularly by people whose opinion -- that he exists materially enough
to kick -- actually matters.
I know you're desperate to do just that, as your many posted fantasies
about it prove, but no thanks, my senile friend.

Mr. Arson?
#I know you're purposely acting like an idiot (unlike Dockery), but let's
make one thing clear: Dockery would never, ever attempt to make a better
person out of himself, and that includes a large area of education. He has
no high school diploma, has spent much of his life bouncing from drug to
drug, club to club, drink to drink, and could never, ever, ever hope to find
a better job than pizza boy -- something has admitted in the past.
"posibly?"
Your non-degree is showing again.
Heh... and never mind the fact that the "college boy" Orson can't
write his way out of a paper sack.
Duckery, what I write is published on a *daily basis* with *thousands*
reading what I write. The best *you* can do is create your shitty little
"poems" for a Play-doh(tm) "magazine" that can barely register on Google's
radar. Stop acting all jealous, it only makes you look stupid and crazier.
I know you're desperate to do just that,
Only in your closeted fantasies, Dockery. Only in your closeted fantasies.
Do you have a proofreader?
