FiZ and Notes For Life hosted the first annual benefit MUSIC AND
MEDIUMS on November 11, 2009 at the West Sayville Country Club. All
proceeds will go to "The Golden Fund for Autism."
FiZ is in the process of creating a new FiZ TV project. He will be
intertwining the arts with spirituality. FiZ will interview people who
are making positive impact in the world. Whether it is a mother who
supports her autistic son's vocal abilities, a CEO of a company that
is responsible for implementing fundraisers for people in need and
anyone in the arts who make positive contributions to the world. FiZ
TV is a platform for FiZ to discuss his music, spirituality, and other
topics. The first two episodes feature FiZ discussing spiritual topics
such as "The Secret" and "Law of Attraction." On the next episode of
FiZ TV, FiZ interviews a child named Anthony who is both blind and
autistic. To see more shows go to http://www.fizband.com/fiztv.html
FiZ has acquired the tagline "PEACE.LUV.MUSIC." to promote his vision
of music as a way for healing people. FiZ says, "I have always
associated rock 'n roll with healing the world and playing a part of
it. It was never separate. It was always connected."
"D'Mattia's album is a well-produced pop-rock album with some sick
guitar lines and soulful vocals." - Terence Edwards from DEMOLITION
"Whatever sleight of hand FiZ uses on the disc is magic. The songs are
warm and filled with promise." - Rikki Lana
"Motivated, engaging, exciting and above all, talented is how I would
describe this up and coming musical visionary." - Maria Bolaris from
FOLK IT
Music has long been a part of FiZ's life. At seven years old, when
most kids are jumping around on playgrounds and watching cartoons,
Tony D'Mattia could be found in a rocking chair, eyes closed,
listening to The Beatles albums for hours on end. He envisioned
himself becoming a rock artist and healing people with his music. As
he got older, the prolific songwriter became familiar with instruments
such as the guitar, keyboard, and mandolin. At age 12, he wrote the
first of an estimated 1,000 songs. FiZ's songs absorbed multiple
genres from Motown to Rod Stewart to Led Zeppelin. For his brand new
album, FiZ brought in former Wings drummer Steve Holly and veteran
producer Bob Stander for collaboration. Stander bolstered FiZ's
natural gift for songwriting, a combination of stream-of-consciousness
lyrics and songs based on self-imposed writing exercises. FiZ has
recorded and self-produced two previous albums, Transcending and Right
Where You Are. Throughout his music FiZ's message is always spiritual,
hopeful, and brimming with an eternal optimism.
