Frankie
She holds the future
rememberin life is worth livin
she's awake now
she's wakin up now
She had clarity
rememberin what it's all about
She can face tomorrow
that's now plain
trade away her sorrow
for a new day of pain
I know in the evenin
strummin th floor
she isn't comin thru th screen porch...
Words by Will Dockery with chunks of the Conley snap on guitar &
Geno's pure piano, lacing it in a stately manner.

Waking Up Now (Frankie)
She holds the future...
remembering life is worth living.
She's awake now
she's waking up now
She had clarity
remembering what it's all about.
She can face tomorrow
that's now plain
trade away her sorrow
for a new day of pain
I know in the evening
strumming the floor
she hears him coming through the screen porch
smiles and walks through the door.
She's awake now
knows what it's all about.
Words: Will Dockery
Music: Henry Conley and Geno Woolfolk

New song "She Sleeps Tight", with Brian Mallard & Sandy Madaris at
http://www.myspace.com/shadowvilleallstars
Congratulations. I liked that song immensely. I remember hearing it in
the Dockery-Conley sessions and thinking it was a perfect change of
pace.
I went to give a listen, but it wouldn't play for me. So I clicked the
"Listen Live" tab, and got this message: "Due to licensing
restrictions, we are not able to allow access to the content you are
requesting from outside the United States. We are sorry we can no
longer provide access to Canada." .
In case there's other non-USAmericans who want to listen, I went and
hunted down the link to the original D-C sessions:
http://www.myspace.com/willdockery
Ah, I didn't know that there's a block on broadcasting radio from the
US over to Canada... I have several friends from the Buffalo area who
seemed to cross over the border fairly often at one time, so from this
very southern vantage point I don't feel a big difference in your
country and down here. I'd like to get on some Canadian radio
stations.
I'll have to work out a location where the song can be played in any
country, perhaps build a video for YouTube... I'm sure y'all have no
problem playing videos from YT up there, do you? While the version of
"Truck Stop Woman" you posted the link to is basically the same
recording, Larry Rose and Henry Conley worked on the mix for months
after that first one was loaded, HC spent hours and hours, at least,
getting that mix right from September to April, most noticable to me
in the ringing of his guitar, which sometimes sounds like a steel in
the newer one... amazing how he squeezes those sounds out.
I'll try and get this version up and available for Canada and the rest
of the world soon, thanks for taking the trouble to track a playable
version down, George.

This is going right now, although according to George it may be only
available within the United States. Becca Rae is talking now...
She's faking her death
To get away from Dockery
She's faking her death now
Who is?
