BTW all you RMMT regulars, the Dufuss actually tried to email my parochial
school again!! He was complaining about my thought's regarding his selling of
his COL 103. My Principal just about bust a gut laughing...as well as the

There are plenty of folks right here where I live who can play higher than
I can, I don't need to leave town.

MES seems to be on the far end of the "starving-for-attention" curve.
Everything he does seems to be done for the sole purpose of focusing
attention on himself.
Most of the posts by normal people are requests for information or advice
followed by posts offering said info or advice. Some posters give their
experiences in ways that are informative and/or funny. Some posters are
selling something. There are the occasional misunderstandings followed by
flame wars, of course.
But look at MES's posts. He brags, struts, makes outrageous claims, he
preaches (always with himself as the central figure as the source of
revealed knowledge) and when anyone criticizes him, he becomes defensive and
argues. Endlessly.
MES is like those disruptive kids that every teacher hates to have in her
class. He wants attention. If he can get positive attention, that's good.
If he can only get negative attention, that's good, too. Any attention is
better than being ignored.
You can see it in his incessant arguing. You can see it in the way he
insists on playing only "original" music so as to focus maximum attention on
himself. You can see it in the way he assumes that everyone is interested
in his personal affairs. "Things have never been better, my wife and I are
almost completely out of debt, no credit card bills, no car payments, we owe
less than $800.00 in all of our bills including our medical bills now, how
many of you can say that? I am very fortunate to have what I have ,in the
last month God has given me two Peavey full range speakers (600 watt
continuous @ 8 ohms) and two Peavey floor monitors, an L.A.Bange (that's
"Benge", Mikey) mlp trumpet, and a marching baritone". This comes under the
heading of "Too much information".
Ooops! I forgot! There's never "Too much information" about MES. Also,
notice that God gave this stuff to him. Personally. Not to the church or
the deserving poor. Mikey gets personal attention and gifts from God. You
can't get better attention than that!! Being a minister is perfect for
someone like MES.
I'm figuring that MES falls somewhere between a neurotic attention-craving
pain in the butt and a full-blown megalomaniac. IMNSHO, he's a true psycho.
He can't controll his actions. He can't quit.

The Bible says "Touch not my annointed, and do my prophets no harm"
Tim Priddy has attacked me ,he has attacked this ministry and my style
of trumpet playing long enough. I called him on it and he has run
scared ever since. It is time for Mr. Priddy to stop whining that he
does not have enough time to compete against me and bring his trumpet
playing to the plate.
If Priddy has enough time to cruise european country music message

Robert, Purgatory is a teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.
Purgatory is not mentioned in the Protestant Bible, but the teaching
is found in the Catholic Bible in 2 Maccabes 12 :39-40 . The Catholic
Bible contains a section called the "Apocrypha " which was rejected
by the Protestant Church (Even though it was contained in the original

According to Roman Catholic teaching, Purgatory is a place where those
who have died under the "grace of God"(According to the RCC) make

time of punishment, according to RCC teachings those who have comitted
and paid for what I will call little sins can then enter the Beatific

vision (or a state of godly exhalted great joy and happiness). Those
who go to purgatory and pay for their sins and have their minor sins
cleansed(according to the RCC). A protestant minister like myself does
not believe that purgatory is a real actual place.

I will gladly furnish times and places I may be seen in public. This weekend
(Fri/Sat) I will be playing at the Holiday Inn (Shimmers Bar) at Traverse City
with the Maximum Effect Band, the best meet market in the state of Michigan. I
will also be playing the Pentecost service on Sat. June 6th (4:00 PM) and two
services on Sun, June 7th at St. Stephens parish (off of Mackinaw St) in
Saginaw, MI. 8:00 and 10:30 AM. And for those of you that can do the math, I
will be playing Sundays' 8:00 AM service after playing til 2:00 AM Sunday
morning. A three hour drive awaits between Traverse City and Saginaw. Even
under these extreme conditions, I KNOW I can play better than you, Mikey.

I have to respectfully disagree with that statement. I have an
opinion of Wynton, Ferguson, Gillespie and MANY others whom I have
never heard live.
I HAVE heard Shorty Sherock, Al Hirt and MANY others LIVE and did not
walk up and talk to them afterwards and I do have opinions of them.
The person in question sent some files to someone on the group to
convert to MP3s for the purpose of letting others hear his playing. I
have heard two of them and DEFINITELY have an opinion of his playing.
His posts have also let me form an opinion of his character .. should
I say characterS?
I do not attempt to judge his relationship to GOD and he should not
attempt to judge anyone else although he has done this. He doesn't
question a certain person's salvation but decrees that that person is
not saved. Another opinion I have ... it is not his business to say
this to the general public but he seems to not be able to help
himself.
His word seems to be invincible and anything other than his beliefs is
wrong. Another opinion ... he is not the definitive answer.

Well Al, I did meet Clifford , and he gave me a tour where he makes
his trumpets(In a kind of modular home at the bottom of a driveway
that leads to Cliffords house just off of 30(What a mess 30 is with
the rebuilding of the road). When you walk into his small shop if you
turn to the right and look twards the back of the little shop there is
a small office where Cliff's wife ( I think another lady takes orders
also?, computers were back there) takes the orders, if I remember
correctly on the left side of that wall.If you walked into the shop
and looked straigt ahead and to the right twards the back wall I
believe that was where the lady that you call Tina works.If I remember
correctly she was working on a little horn (Eb trumpet?). The shop has
several long thin tables with horn parts scattered everywhere , there
were more unfinished horns than completed ones.

Christian having a strong self love, self confidence and healthy self

My playing is Jim Ott D.C.I. style in your face loud , high and
powerful trumpet playing. That ain't gonna change and I am happy with
my style just as it is, thank you. If you don't like drum corps and
marching band , perhaps you won't like my style either because those
are my trumpet performance roots. I don't care what the little chamber
snoots have to say about my corps trumpet playing style, if they don't
like it so what. Many of these same chamber snoots criticize Chuck
Mangione, Roy Roman, Phil Driscoll and others. If they are not into
what I am into why would I care? It is clear that I do not play
chamber style. I use processors and power amps,what I and the chamber
players do is 2 different things like apples and oranges and what
works well in a small room without a mic just might not work well to
hundreds or thousands of people outdoors.I do not live to impress the
chamber snoots,I play for the Lord, I have a higher calling. Most
people are into what I am doing but like anything else it is not for
everyone so give it a rest already.

I had a wonderful marriage. What made it especially wonderful is that
although both of us could hand out the BS to each other, we could take
it in return. Believe it or not, we lived a contented life where
mutual dignity was shared. Above all, we had humor in our individual
lives and in our life together. And a rarity these days - we lived as
husband and wife according to the vows we took. That being 'until
death do us part.' I assure you that for the 16 years she was
suffering with cancer, I did not abandon nor neglect her for one
second. If someone in the same position as me, but was neglectful, and
still got to Heaven on the merits that he accept Jesus, I would be
extremely pissed that I was rejected only because my way of believing
is not of the cookie cutter variety. It seems to me that conducting my
life with propriety and compassion must stand for something. I misled
you about one thing. I do denounce my born religion, but I failed to
say that I denounce ALL organized religion. It's not so much for the
doctrine which I may or may not agree with, but with the arrogance of
those that peddle organized religion's wares. I'm sure that you are a
good man. If any respect is to be afforded to you by me, it will be
due to your conduct as a man and not as a member of clergy (provided
you are a member of clergy). I do not have the desire to interview a
person as to his or her beliefs before I determine he or she is friend
or foe. BTW - I have every reason to believe that the soul of my late
wife is in Heaven, despite the fact that she was Jewish and did not
honor Jesus as Christians do. Her key to Heaven is the fact that she
respected Jesus as being a great MAN even though she didn't recognize
him to be the son of God. Ain't that what the Golden Rule is all
about?

Organized religion is a lie from Hell. One of us is going to be right
and one of us is going to be wrong. It's as simple as that. Here's the
rub. We're gonna have to wait our turn to find out and see for
ourselves. I'm one that doesn't believe what I read in the newspaper
nor do I believe what I hear from the pulpit. Either is motivated by
the lust for power and money. But there again, I can't be accused of
not being a believer since I'm not in front of a pulpit to listen in
the first place. As to newspapers, I buy the daily to read what the
weather is going to be. It's the only part of the paper that doesn't
lie even though the forecasts are generally wrong. That's not because
of deliberate lies, but because of ineptitude.

I never miss Blondie. For a comic strip character, she sure has
gorgeous legs. When I die (IF I die), I want to come back as a blob of
ink and fool around with Blondie while Dagwood is at the office. Just
