Ableton Live 7

I recently got ableton live 7 and i am using it on windows vista home
edition. i am using it with an axiom 25 keyboard. Whenever i try to
install live pack 'basics' (version 8) it fails.. i get this message
"database disk image is malformed". this also happens when i try to
arm an audio track. i have uninstalled and reinstalled live several
times. i have re downloaded the live pack from the ableton website and
it still doesn't work.
Please help. My axiom 25 is sitting there with nothing to do and i am
starting to feel like i have wasted a lot of money...
What can I do?

Did you run a check on your hard disk to make sure it isn't a hardware
issue? If you did and nothing came out, you could post a message on the
'Bugs & Problems' forum on the Ableton-website describing your problem.
