Hmmm... seems you accidentally snipped it...

Crawford Road Crawl

On the dark side of the morning,
on the side of dawn.
Moonlight cuts in the dark
Pull up to the side
put my ear to the clapboard...
heard her crying on...
She cried more more more
There she goes
and there she blows
all over the carpet.

In the Saturday swank
misty, dark and dank.
Fall down to my knees
put my ear to the rail.
Hear the clackity-clackity-clackity
clackity-clack...
There she goes
and there she blows
all over the carpet.

Seen the science lady
to find my cure.
She says no son,
your heart is black and impure.
What you've done
won't be no peace,
until the Lord come down
and give you release.
See see Jesus
rise up someday.
But you ain't got no home
so you'd better stay away.
There she goes
and there she blows
all over the carpet.

Over the bridge,
she went over the bridge.
Tiny little bubbles
she sank like a stone.

Pull the car to the side
in a putrid black high.
Pull up the side
and creep my head to the side.
Put my ear to the clapboard
and I heard her cry...
She cry no no no
no no no
that little whore
she cry more more more.
There she goes,
there she blows,
all over the carpet.

I can't see what I'm looking at, so have a look at me!
I'm a bit of a lush, I am, if all the drinks are free.
I'll tell you how it came about; I drank the Wine in church,
And I was King of UseNet when my toddle turned to lurch.
On rec.arts.pomes the poasters started shouting, "GO AWAY!"
Said I, "Get down upon your knees, I'll teach you how to spray!"

[chorus]:
I'm Dockery the Eighth, I am!
Dockery the Eighth of Spam, of Spam!
I just poasted seven yards of bore
That I've poasted seven times before,
And every yard was a Dockery
(I'd never poast a chuckles or a Tom);
I'm the eighth spam yard of Dockery:
Dockery the Eighth I am!

I left the Puke of Slummerland, a pub up Shadowville;
Soon with other moochers I was hurling up the swill.
I sat upon the bucket that the barfmen think their own;
Amidst my unknown subjects I was sitting on the throne,
When up came General sherman, saying, "Off with all your crap!"
Said I, "If you are gonna, you must do it in my lap!"

Now at the Wankers' Exhibition not so long ago
I was stagg'ring into things, I made a lovely show.
I popped another Roots' Beer and I shouted, "Watcher fizz!"
While P.J. poked my shit and said, "I wonder what this is!"
One said, "Oh, oh, it's Charlie's Hell!" and then I grabbed the mike,
And shouted, "I yam ignorance!" as pissed as all you like.

Title slightly changed... seems the other performers agreed that
something recognizable should be in the title, for jukeboxes and
whatnot, which opens this topic up for discussion.

How often, or do you think that titles should ever be so obscure that
all the audience members can't immediately tell which piece it is?

In other words, a quick scan of the songlist on the back of a CD could
immediately give an idea of the contents, a quick scan of titles on a
jukebox will reveal almost exactly what's available there... that sort
of thing.

So, the title change on this one, which at one point I considered
calling "On the Dark Side of the Morning" and dropping "Crawford Road
Crawl" altogether, but looks like i'll be going with:

I found this a surprisingly pleasant listen.

My tip: DON'Tpost your lyrics. They don't read well as poetry.

But they do their work well enough as song lyrics because you hear enough
of them to get a sense of verse, chorus and vaguely what's it 's all about.

"Something recognizable" like Will Dockery, right? Your ego disgusts me.

How often, or do you think that titles should ever be so obscure that
all the audience members can't immediately tell which piece it is?

How often do you think someone gives enough of a shit to read your dribble?

In other words, a quick scan of the songlist on the back of a CD could

In that case the back of your CD should have a picture of dog crap on it.

Well, that's Dockery in a toiletbowl --

"vaguely what's it 's all about."

Though your use of "sense" with "verse" and "chorus" is suspicious.

Considering the oozes and twists it so often displays, shouldn't that be
"Rubber Duckrish"?
(Or is that merely redundant?)

Thanks for the comments, some of the few here that actually veer
towards actual critique, Gill. These tracks on Gene Woolfolk's "fan"
site are unofficial, still unmixed versions... the studio we recorded
them at went under recently in the current economic crash (not the
only one around here, Bill Heard, the famous Chevy dealer, "Mr. Big
Volume", closed his doors yesterday. He was so "big" that the closing
made national news on Fox, CNN et cetera) and is currently setting up
his gear in his wife's basement out in the country. A delay in the CD
release, but worth it since it looks like the ambiance out there in
Harris County has that spooky "Southern Gothic" feel which will no
doubt soak into the feel of the next sessions.

A forty-five second musical intro with the bass player tripping over

Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment, Blue.

I'll pass it on to the others, including Jim White, the bassist on "Twilight
Girl". For the record, the bassist on "Truck Stop Woman" is Doug Conley.

I did not write a single lie. Everything I wrote about you was followed
with ", apparently".

According to your own prolonged and consistent use of this word, it
turns anything you say into mere "speculation".

It doesn't of course - it's just your dishonest and clumsy way of using
words It's a revealing measure of your mental and moral deficiency that
you object when your own creepy techniques are used against you.

Explain for me how your sleazy lies were in any way based on something
"apparent", Mushmouth.

When I write "apparently" it's because something really /is/ apparent,
and can point that fact out.

Perhaps you should check to see if your newsreader is broken, Mushmouth,
since you seem to accidentally snip allof my replies, such as this one:

And I suppose you consider your silly sniffing behind every post I make to

You seem pretty stupid to be still whining for monthsabout my review of your

http://www.marvelfamily.com/images/headshots/Dr.Sivana.gif

is a whistle lisping bore."

Now you've apparently begun a months-long whine at my accurate description
of you as a bald, wrinkled prune ass-face, which began in response to the
attacks directed at me about my physical attributes, appearance, even the
tone of my skin... then I saw /your/ photo, and heard your dreary poetry
performance.

Then, there's the hilarious description of you below as one of the "curious
figures" who crawl out of the woodwork (like rats and roaches) after the
stage is kept free of "superstars":

"However, sometimes the evening is kept free of superstar guests to
concentrate solely on contributions from the panoply of curious figures who
come out of the woodwork each month... from the anti-capitalist rants of
Rapunzel Wizard to the laconic, dry waggery of Rob Evans..."

http://www.bbc.co.uk/berkshire/content/images/2004/11/18/rob_evans180...

In the photo above you can be seen hunched over a scrap of paper (no doubt
covered in your slimy spittle, from the evidence of the recording)...
another curious sleazebag who crawled out of thewoodwork after the real
"superstars" have left.

No wonder you seem so bitter.

My review of your "poetry" and "performance" nails you, Mush-Mouth... it
describes exactly what any listener will hear in your burbling
whistle-lisping reading (from a scrap of paper) of a dreary cliched "poem",
which is really just chopped up prose... which many here would say isn't
even poetry. What's that you have jammed in your throat as you burble
through whistles in your famous gunkmouth show?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/berkshire/stage/poets/robevanspoem.ram

So how /do/ you explain the gunkmouthed, slurred, whistle lisping sound of
your voice? Any of the three mentioned above could be likely, one thing's
for sure, you're the pruneassface under a mountain of problems... good luck
with them, Mushmouth.

Seems you have, Mushmouth.

> And from which we deduce that you sport a scruffy beard

So you claim to see it, Mushmouth, and digital photography is available in
abundance for those who want to see for themselves:

http://tinyurl.com/will-dockery-images

Meanwhile, unless your little vulture head has been transplanted onto
another body, your digital photograph clearly shows your bald wrinkled
brown-toothed ass-face, judging from the condition of your face as seen in
the photograph, Mushmouth.

Rob Evans, the mushmouth poet:
http://tinyurl.com/whistle-lisper

Clearly shows your prunelike assface, Mushmouth.

Meanwhile your fixation with my appearance is just more of your whining
obsession with "Will Dockery", starting coincidentally at the time I nailed
your whistle-lisping, gunkmouthed performance of your boring
chopped-up-prose for what it was in my review of it.

In fact, this all began with my review of your vocal, in which you sound
like you're speaking with a mouth stuffed with slimeballs, spewed through
your rotten teeth (see photo) giving you your trademarked whistle-lisping
gurgle sound which is both my opinion /and/ a fact, as anyone who listens to
your recording can discover.

The fact is that I wrote a review that nailed your whistle-lisping
gunkmouthed performance of your dreary non-poetry:

"...The whistle-lisping gunkmouthed sound Rob Evans, the mushmouth poet,

produces may not be a speech defect or the result of rotten teeth and/or a
stroke but actually is just an example of an unexceptional performer of no
special quality, mundane, bored and boring, reading an unexceptional 'poem'.

...and you just can't get over it, Mushmouth.

In fact, it turns out that everything you try to attack me about you do
often yourself, Mushmouth: snipping, misogyny, burbling, whistle-lisping
"poetry performances" that can be considered undecipherable to some
people... proven facts by your own "logic".

Try to get over it and stop whining and lying... never mind, that's
apparently impossible for you.

Looks more like we should seek the police if you ever show up near either of
us, from the bizarre and violent fantasies you keep posting here in public,
Alex.

Never mind, they'll remain fantasies since you'd obviously never have the
"courage" (no matter how insane you've apparently become) to act them out.

While parasites such as you come much cheaper.

Here's one for you whine about, not finished yet but better than
anything you'll ever begin to attempt, based on a melody I heard in a
dream:

From: Will Dockery
Date: Fri, 14 Nov 2008 05:33:12 -0500
Subject: Light Bridget

Light Bridget

Fare thee well,
I'm bound for Lickskillet Town for a while.
I want to watch her eyes smile
for a minute or two.
Let me see her smile,
let me watch her smile
til I step into the rain.
Until only mem'ries remain.
Bridget, Bridget, she holds the light,
the cord almost touches the ground.
Light Bridget by the golden canister
time for us to let the silence down.

That's not me,
I can't be seen on YouTube anymore.
Some other Touchdown Jesus
is breaking her heart.
On a Motzart night
I'm out in the streets
I'm running the streets.
Only this longing remains.
Bridget, Bridget, I saw her reflection
but it might have been just another ghost.
Light Bridget, outside Waffle King window,
wondering which of us she misses the most.

Bon Voyage,
I must be hitting the road for a while.
In Russel County, saw chestnut fox run
she seems to know our car.
Her circle of light, her magnifying glass,
I stood behind the glass.
The other side of the coin.
Bridget, Bridget, she gives good lyrics
with books and images we ease the pain.
Light Bridget waves her red feather duster
torches up the night until no dark remains.

Goodbye for now,
I'll be around Lickskillet Town for a while.
Heavy fog on the lake
as the speedboats run.
Back to the pine walls,
and people standing in the sand,
waiting in the sand.
Underneath the mirr'd sky.
Bridget, Bridget, the big rocket was rolled out
I watched as it went up into the sky
it had a white plume tail.

But then one day

I do have a live version of this, recorded Sunday night, that I'm
considering putting up as part of the Sports Rock Cafe promotional
page, or at some location. Thinking maybe of making a test of the
"make video" feature on this newfangled laptop with stills taken that
night, and other images:

It seems to, quite well... the version I have is acoustic guitar,
flute and a hand percussion from long-time Shadowville All-Stars
drummer John Phillips.

If you want to keep that pretty bellsouth.net account you might want to tone
down the death threats a bit and take some anger management courses. At
least Dockery is more mellow. Granted, he's an unwashed dipshit pothead, but
at least he's mellow.

at least you're starting to tell the truth rather than lie your ass off or
try to manipulate facts or steal other peoples' works

Where did you see a death threat in what =z= wrote? Just curious.

He's made several of them in the past two months, you dumbass. You've just
been too busy romancing him to notice. Besides, none of them were made or
about you, so you wouldn't have paid attention to them anyway.

At the most it was a "death fantasy" exactly like the dozens you've
posted here over the years, Orson.

You know, like the one where you daydreamed about shoving a gun in
Pasko's mouth and pulling the trigger, for example?
