How would you finger this passage?
(must start on finger 2)
Bb4-C5-F5-F#5-A5-C6-F6-A6-Bb6
how about 2-1-3-4-1-2-3-5-4?
I considered 2-1-2-3- but 2-1-3-4 seems to be more economical,
movement-wise.
thanks!

I find that 2134 means I have to be careful not to catch the 4 on the
(not to be played) Ab while bringing the thumb under, so 2123 seems
better, but your mileage may differ.
Do you have a particular reason for ending on the 4?
Sylvia.

I couldn't answer the question without seeing the music. Rhythm is
very important to fingering. The thumb should be on a beat, or at
least an important rhythmic note, whenever possible IMHO.

Good advice. There's more to fingering than finger economy.
