Can anybody write out the melody line to "I'll Only Miss Her When I
Think of Her" by Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn?

I've got the chords (some are screwy but I can fix) but don't know
the melody enough in spots to get through it. Thanks in advance, if
anybody knows.

Forgot to add: in D major, if possible. Think that's the key it's
written in. Thanks.

This is going to be a tough one. I just searched a massive index of
fake books (Real Book, etc) and it's not there. What searches have you
done? I would think there would be a Jimmy Van Heusen and/or Sammy
Cahn songbook or that it would be included in a compilation of
standards by such as Hal Leonard.

Thank you for taking the trouble. Actually, Hal Leonard doesn't have
it either. I think J. Van Heusen is much underrated and wish they
would put out a collection fake book of his many great tunes. I've
pieced many of the lesser known ones together myself but having the
authentic lead sheet would always help. (Another one I have long
coveted: "My Heart Is A Hobo".) As for this one, the invaluable
Michael Hammond found a Sinatra version on YouTube and very obligingly
transcribed it for me. What a great group!
