Subject: Was "Un Sospiro Questions"
Good day everyone,

Some time ago, I posted several technical questions I had on Liszt's
classic Un Sospiro for an upcoming recital I had.
Again, I thank all those who lent an ear and their experience; the
recital went fine - I had one flub in Sospiro about mid way through,
but other than that, all was well.  Incidentally, I am playing in an
amateur music festival tomorrow, and Un Sospiro will be my finale.

Thanks again.

And this, the festival participation, went well ???

As the etude was your finale, what other work(s) did you perform?

(do pardon the delayed response)

Thanks for the response.  It went much better than the first time
around (thanks to experience I guess).  Though certainly not perfect,
both myself and my teacher believe that it was a success.  ;)

I only played two others: Bach's Fmaj prelude and fugue, and
Rachmaninoff's Dmaj prelude of opus 23.  The Rach prelude went
beautifully IMO, and the Bach was okay... (you'll probably laugh) but
when I began to take piano studies seriously, I never really did much
in the way of Bach, Hayden, not even much Mozart.  Not that I didn't
appreciate their work, but I guess I was silly.  Slowly I began to
realize HOW important they are, for technique, for experience, etc.
So, funnily, the above prelude and fugue is my first delve into the
WTC since I was a wee tyke.  I plan to delve more.

Thanks again.
