Beginner needs some fingering advice

So I have been playing piano for a little over 2 years now (just
triads and simple melodies) but I wanted to now learn to read music
etc, anyways being a star wars fanatic I wanted to learn Across the
stars and for the most part i got it down, except some bars that seem
to confuse me on my left hand just need some advice on how you would
execute this. The one bar that seems to get me is this. Its in 3/4 in
Fmaj or Dmin (still understanding theory) and its 3 groups of triplets
(8th notes) and the notes are

d-a-f (ascending) d-a-f-d-a-f (descending) now I tried to do it as I
would a two octave arpeggio, but seems to only make it sound more
clunky.
Any advice?

Should of clarified this. That the first (d) goes up two octaves and
starts to descend on D1? I think.
