I know this is a bit of a nerve, but I have been asked to do one of my
piano arrangements of "Too young to go steady", a Jimmy McHugh song of
the 50's. Problem is, although I've got a vague idea of how it goes,
I don't really know it past the first few bars. I've got an André
Previn version among my collection, and also a John Coltrane one, but
both are very jazz orientated and therefore don't stick to the melody
line. So, is there anyone out there who can give me the the basic
tune (particularly the middle eight) - I'm sure I can take it from
there. By the way, I post my arrangements for free on my site at
http://uk.geocities.com/rm.ha...@btinternet.com
for anyone who might be interested, and hasn't already come across me.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Mikka,

I have a cd by Nat Cole with this song on it. Great tune. I could
copy out the melody line for you but it might take me too long to
figure out the chords too, since I'm mighty busy practicing Mozart &
Chopin right now. I take it you're especially interested in the
bridge, which makes sense since this is one of those rare songs where
the bridge is actually a cut above the rest. Question: can you read a
Finale NotePad file? (It's free, so if you can't you might want to
download and install it.) If so, I can send you the melody line that
way, and maybe even figure out a few of the chords, if I get
interested enough. Let me know.

Yes please - would be most grateful. NotePad file would be fine.
Don't knock yourself out about the chords - I reckon I can sort that
out from the Previn and Coltrane files I've got. Thanks very much.
Good luck with the practising!

Mikka,

I got a returned-undeliverable message from both email addresses you
sent me. Don't know why. I sent a reply to your message and attached
the music file to that. It's all ready. I just need to get it to
you. Let me know if you have another way.
