I've been playing an "oom-pah-pah" style song on the piano. It's
called Birdie Dance in England, but it's based on a German traditional
tune.
The song is really written for the accordian, I think. So it features
some great chromatic "cliche" lines.
The song is in the key of G. Here are some right hand cliche runs:
[G major chord] Start at B-G, walk chromatically up to D-G (3rd-4th-
flat5th-5th)
[G major chord] Start at D-B, walk chromatically up to G-B
(5th-6th-7th-root)
[D7 chord] Start at D-A, walk chromatically up to F#-A (Root-2nd-
flat3rd-3rd)
[D7 chord] Start at C-F# walk chromatically down to D (3rd-2nd-flat2nd-
root)

Question: Anyone know any more "cliche" lines for this style of music?
I can't find much on the web for this.
Thanks
Mike

I would search for accordion midi files, or at least, for midi files of
tunes that are well-known for being played on the accordian.
