Someone here in Seattle is selling an Adam's Atomic drum set.  Has
anyone heard of such a maker?

Yeah, we used to have them at the music store I worked at.  Complete
shit.  Worse than CB700/CBMaxx.  Those are the reason Asian makers
catch so much shit.

Is it possible that Adams drums and Adam drums are not the same?
If Adam drums go to:
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/ex/shop/perc/specials/0008311332000241...
might say it all.  $149.99 for complete JR. kit - (stencil branded kit)
More on Adams Drums in subsequent post.

Several years ago I had the good fortune to visit Andre Adams' timpani
factory in The Netherlands. It was an amazing experience. The tooling he
custom designed and built to manufacture his timpani finds no comparable
degree of sophistication in any other drum or percussion factory I have
seen.
Adams Timpani and Percussion are distributed by Pearl in USA.
Here is the Adams website URL:
        http://www.adams.nl
Several years ago Adams made and supplied drums primarily in Europe.
Most of the components were designed by Andre Adams and built in Taiwan.
Interesting design innovations included isolation mounts in the spurs.
I cannot recall whether they were called Adams Atomic Drums. I have some
info on these drums buried deep in my attic... it's dark in there.
The current Adams website, while worth a look at their percussion, has
no conventional drum kits, only orchestral.
Adam drums and Adams percussion are obviously not the same animal.
