I gotta say I'm surprised to find Alice Coltrand and John Zorn in the
top 20. Count Basie's only hit is Newport? Also quite suprising.

I can't imagine who selected this list.

well, I've only heard about 16 of them
to my ears, some of the artists on the list (Coltrane, Kirk, AEC) have
musch better albums than those listed

I dunno, some clerk in the shipping department? The list is a joke.
"Whipped Cream and Other Delights" by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana
Brass at #87? Why not Mantovani?
