I have a '67 strat that has had the pickup trenches routed to fit a stacked
humbucker. Unfortunately, the job wasn't done very well.(hack job) Also
the pick guard and tuners were replaced. I do have the original tuners, but
not the original pickguard or pickups. Now I thinking about selling this
guitar, but wondering if I should just sell it as is or try to restore it as
much as possible to original specs. Also, wondering what such a guitar
might go for? It looks like it's been played quite hard for several
years... although it plays fine.

My advice would be to sell it as is, let the person that wants it restore
it. Putting stuff back together means a lot of explaining as
you try to sell it, which means that whatever you were asking for is going
to just keep dropping. Start out reasonable, be honest
and up front about it, you may get something decent for it. I don't know
what, I couldn't even hazard a guess. Vintage Guitar and
Ebay are both places to see what approximately that year guitar is going for
these days, but I wouldn't count on those numbers
even if the guitar was perfect.
