Hi All:
I just wanted to let folks know that we've extended the sign up to next week for my Bebop Lines workshop in Colgne Germany, in conjunction with Sontag Guitars.

Bbm+7/C or C13w/11b9
|

I play with a sax player who is really into re-harmonizing jazz tunes using this chord change as a pedal point to replace the original harmony.
He tells me to voice it C-Db-F-A and let the bass play the C pedal, but that's impossible to play on the guitar unless you use an inversion, Db-F-A-C, and you can even play the C in the bass.... more »

Kurt Rosenwinkel Backing Tracks
|

I've just uploaded to [link] the backing tracks for various Kurt numbers which I use. There are piano trio backings for Chords, Secret World, Minor Blues, Use of Light and Zhivago at two tempos. And Bass+Drums-only tracks for Secret World, Use of Light and Minor Blues. They're all about 12 minutes long and with a sheet of the changes I use – most from the Mel Bay KR book. All tracks are £2.99. They're listed under Kurt's name on the piano-trio and B&D pages. They don't aim to be copies of any particular version, but the tempos and feels are typical, and I enjoy jamming along with them. Hope they might be of interest to others working on these great numbers.... more »

If there's anybody else out there who's interested in this topic here's a pdf of Delamont's entries about it from his book, Modern Harmonic Technique Vol. 1.
