My downloader is showing a 4k option for the narrowscreen clips. Is that the
rear camera?

If you can see yourself on the screen as you video, it's the front camera. A
trick to self-use the rear cam is to stick a small woman's compact mirror on
the back with blutac, to judge the framing (but don't block the rear lens).
The vids are showing as 720p but 90 degrees out, so probably confusing
Youtube for 4k (circa 2160p). For a 'tripod' you can also use a satnav style
suction phone holder.

vertical videos...who knew. I confess obliviousness, but now I'm enlightened. I would never want to see Birds crashing into tall movie theaters.
