I'm looking forward to hearing about it.
I played some Epiphone's in the 60's and 70's that didn't impress me.
But in the last few years I've had 2 great Epiphone's.
An SG double neck custom...Alpine white, great PAF's.
I didn't expect it t be such good quality.
And a 1962 Les Paul Custom reissue.
Very close to the original.
Epiphone has come a long way.

Joey,
I'm curious. Is it basically a Zephyr Regent chassis or is it
completely different?
Darryl
Seems a bit more solid that the ZR's I've tried.
A bit fancier too.
I seem to remember the ZR's as having a thin neck too.
The Epi 175 has more of a baseball bat kind of neck profile, much like a
real 175.

Joey,
Thanks, could you please measure the body depth and bout if it's not
too much trouble?
The lower bout is 16". I measured it in the store because visually it
looked smaller to me.
The width is pretty much similar to a 175, 3" plus.
The neck is maple, not mahogany.
Other than that, it's pretty 175-ish.
I cchecked it out on the Epi Website, looks good and is supposed to be
a re-issue so all the dimesnions should be the same as Gibbies.
Elitist series seems to be gone though.

Was there ever an Elitist version of this guitar, or of any full-sized
hollowbody archtop?
Why do you say that? It's still on the Epiphone website - bottommost
item on the list of lines on the upper right of the webpage, and the
link still works.
All I remember at the moment was the Elitist Byrdland, I can't remember
the other models, too old :)

Too Old? Too Old? Hell I knew God when he was in Huggies.. ole' tee'..

Like I said before, I's a Old Guy, there it was under accesories, and
with no little Red thingee for me to squint and see :)
Here are the other Elitist models Joey.
