Howard Alden in Portland tonight w/John Stowell

Had a great show with Howard last night. He played a wonderful set up solo and then I played some duets together as did he and Bil Leonhart. We finished the night with a trio of 7 string guitars. Big fun. Howard will be playing a show tonight in Portland OR. with John Stowell. It's a house concert and guitar builder Mike Doolins place. I don't have any details but those of you in Portland could get a hold of John to find out when and where.

What a show. This is the type of show that doesn't happen too often in South Florida (as far as I know). Both players are terrific, and they play such dramatically different styles that they should provide a pleasant musical contrast.
