Howard Roberts "Once A Thief" (1965)

I just saw this noir 1965 B&W classic with a great, subtle jazz score (his first Hollywood score) by Lalo Schifrin.
Howard Roberts is featured playing some beautiful chord solos throughout, and the sound is to die for.
In the climax of the movie there's some great Afro-Cuban jazz with HR playing some impossible to play single line shit that sounds like it could have been written today.
This is the only film I've ever seen that opens with a jazz drummer on stage in an SF jazz club playing a five minute drum solo.

I dunno, but she was outta control in this flick, and just about every movie I've ever seen her in- especially "Kitten With a Whip"!

Sweetheart; I was her guitarist six years. Class Act all the way. Great charts, Don Costa and Billy Byers. They knew how to write for guitar.
