Wrong inlay...Neck pup in the wrong place and look where the bridge is...its usually an inch from the pup...plus binding on headstock? Maple neck...looks all wrong?

Any ideas? Is this real?

I make no claim toward guitar scholarship, but ...

This guitar reminded me a bit of the Tal Farlow, without the scroll. I googled Tal Farlow model and found that the inlays are similar, but upside down. I couldn't find a good closeup of the Tal Farlow, though.

The picture I did see, showed those inlays on the outer portions of the bridge. Those also looked like the Tal Farlow.

So, it seems possible that this might be some oddball model, actually made by Gibson.

It says it's a custom shop model, so it's probably some kind of one
off. That seemed clear to me from the description.

yea...but nothing on the web talks about any limited runs of a 175 in 1989. Gibson does some one offs..but not many. I guess its legit..looks like spalted maple body and neck...nice
