Jim Triggs San Salvador Review

been playing for 2 days, and finally came up for air. I guess you can
tell I like it...LOL..
Here's the specs on it.

Mine's just like the one shown but with no fretboard inlay. And
instead of the lighning bolt inlay in the headstock, it's got an L5
type flower pot. Personally signed my Jim and Ryan Triggs.
Workmanship is just impeccable, and the tone is to die for. Floating P/
U model. Friendly, straight up guy as well.

And I was going to write this long dissertation, about how much I dig
this thing, but I've found on the Triggs site, somebody's already done

Wonderful guitar, World Class Luthier. I guess you can tell I'm

congrats...that's one beautiful guitar.

shop one afternoon a few years back.
Got quite an education, and got to play a couple of his San
Salvadors. Wonderful guitars that compare favorably to an L-5 for
much less.

I hear you guys...I've got an L5CES, but the San Salvador, I've got,
with the floating P/U is just such a different animal.
I'd compare it more to some of the LeGrandes, and JS's I've played,
for a lot less...Just a tone monster..
I understand he makes a version of the San Salvador, with routed P/U,
but I haven't heard it. But from what I've seen of his work, I can
just imagine it would be pretty much unbelievable as well..

I'm still just playing the hell out of this guitar. I just love the
tone, action, acoustic properties. I wrote Jim an email, telling how
much I enjoyed this axe. He mentioned that he and his son , Ryan, are
in the process of making another one, and it should be ready in about
6 to 8 weeks. Told me to pass the word around, to anybody that might
be interested to call him..
