Cleartune - this is excellent on iOS and is also available for Android

See if the Gibson +StudioShare app is available for Android. It has a very
good tuner, a metronome, chord fingering charts plus some other things.
All free.

I bought this today - it seems pretty good.

Have you played with the "damping" at all - it seems to default to the
middle of three positions but I couldn't detect much difference between
the three.

Thanks.

The damping effect seems quite subtle - I opted for the middle setting.

The middle setting is the default so that's what I opted for, too -
would be interesting to know what sort of thing the designers envisioned
the other two settings, e.g., do they work better for old or otherwise
"weird" strings, better for higher or lower pitches, etc.

I just tried the free version of Gstrings. It seemed to work fine. Gave tenths of an Hz. Guitar sounded fine when I was done.

Does anyone know if that's accurate enough for intonation adjustment? It seemed like it would be.

When I searched for +Studioshare, the only return was a Gibson app named
Gibson Learn & Master which seems to be more or less the same thing. Very
cool. I downloaded the other tuners suggested here too---both cost merely
a pittance and seem to work better than my Korg tuner. Thanks guys.

That's the one. I couldn't figure out which was its best name! :-) I think
the Gibson app is interesting and I find the tuner to be sensitive enough to
the guitar even in somewhat noisy situations.
