TAB sites now being targeted by NPMA and the MPA

No not at all, when I want to wax indignant about the state of the music
business any story is good even if it's 7 years old.

Well, actually, it does matter for 2 reasons:
1) as there are still a lot of active TAB sites (usefully occasionally, I
find, if I need lyrics or a quick take on the harmony of a 60's song or
whatever) it would appear that the 2006 onslought hasn't wiped them out
after all.

2) this is the second thread here this week where old news was mistaken for
up to the minute. Just goes to show how easily that can happen on the Net.
Sometimes it's due to newspaper sites automatically showing today date at
the top of the page even when the reporting is from some time in the past.
In the case of the TAB story it appeared on the BBC News page as one of the
top 10 most read stories yesterday. Not there today though - looks like it
got pushed out by the "Beer bellies are a myth" story

2006 is when they took down OLGA. I now work with the guy who ran it. It just occurred to me that he probably has the archive backed up somewhere and I could ask him for any tabs I might want, but I never want any tabs.
