If any female vocalist epitimizes the art of the Bossa Nova, it is
Wanda Sa. She's no newcomer, monster bossa chops IMHO.

That whole band sounds pretty good. Gotta love the guy guitarist
playing and singing backup - like a real band :)-

She sounds excellent.

That's Roberto Menescal, one of bossa nova's pioneers.

Listening to his guitar style suggests to me that there was some cross
pollination between the US and Brazil.

She's playing a style I think of as more Brazilian.

Beautiful. Thanks for posting it.

Some other female vocalists to check out would include Leila Pinheiro,
Elis Regina, Leny Andrade and Joyce.

They sound lind of like a Brazilian Jackie & Roy.
