Maybe, but it's pure showmanship to call a 4 string guitar a
ukulele rather than a musical decision. When bass strings are
added to a guitar they still call it a guitar if the original
strings are tuned the same as before, but if strings are removed,
they usually call it something else, even though the word
"guitar", or in Indoeuropean (according to linguists) "ketar",
meant "four string". Similarly, "sitar" meant "six string" four thousand
or so years ago.
The guy is a damn good player, but he needs a drummer to keep
him honest. ;-)
