The Mic Port Pro device works pretty well. It's not a replacement for a
really good preamp, but it's OK. I haven't tried the axe port, but I would
imagine it should work equally well. If you have active pickups, it might
take some gain balancing and you might not get the buzz you're looking for
that you usually get through an amp, but you could always try any of the amp
simulators.

If you do click on it, the info stays static but the image continues
to flip. Pretty cool looking device, but I don't have much use for it
at this time.
