I know I delivered some CDR's from Fletcher to Al and Cea, and timed the
delivery so perfectly I got free pizza and a piece of peanut butter pie.
Rumor has it lots of folks had lots of fun, but since I wasn't there
that's merely hearsay.

Hmmm...there wasn't much said about UK12 either, but then apart from
Cliff and myself the UK contingent have largely disappeared - Where is
Dunnigan? Paterson?
So far the next UK meeting is pretty much sold out (just 10 beds left)
- no-one who is coming apart from myself is an RMMGA regular.
I sometimes wonder if the group reached critical mass and we all just
set up our own offline networks thereafter.

However, I will state that no matter what anyone reports I did keep most of
my clothes on this year. Excepting my Autumn dip in the river.
We had mini-concert performances by Fletcher Clark, Steve Hawkins, the
Wimberleys, and Mike Marquis. The variety was only surpassed by the talent.
The song circles went on for hours and hours. Some great songs were sung.
I even got a hand dance chorus line during one of my songs. The usual
stories, tall tales, remembrances, and out-right lies were told. We had
some mighty fine drop-ins who provided even more fun and music. Susan
Jurist attended and tested our immune systems but made up for it with the
hugs, jugs, and joy she brings with her. (BTW, Susan, BASEBALL IS THE ONLY
SPORT WORTH A DAMN!!)
The food was waaaaaay tooooo goooood. If ye want some good eats, come to
the TX Gatherings. Go, Cea, Go!!
The MC at the open mikes was of such superior talent that he was carried
down the streets on the shoulders of the audience and set upon an improvised
wooden pillar. Being kinda dark, it was accidentally set on fire by the
lighters that were held up high in honor of the MC's shining personality.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it...... for now, at least.

I had a great time. I love TX... and I love all the people there. I can't
wait until next October.
I know that there are recordings available of the entire event. On a
website. I've listened to the entire thing. (I've even pulled my own songs
off that website and added them to my Myspace site.) But it's on somebody's
personal website, and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be available to the
"public" or not. So I would leave it up to them whether or not they want to
publish the link.

I think the availability of those recordings is being limited due to some
copywright/legal issues. It's all non-profit but we don't wanna get BMI or
ASCAP pissed off.
