It should be great fun. I'm guessing that it's an opportunity to
stretch a bit and put your music in front of a group of people, many
of whom have not heard you before, That's great.
I listened to the two clips you have and it's very nice playing. Very
nice. The first one I listened to (MyDadJack) had some phrases (in
the first two minutes, particularly) that put me in the mind of Lyle
Lovett's version of David Rodriguez's "Ballad of the Snow Leopard."

nails that song -- just about the perfect "folk" song in D. Melissa
Greener has a version of it on youtube as well and she (no stranger to
many RMMGA people and, in my opinion, a really nice and wonderful
person) does it justice as well.
So, count me among those who wish you the best and if you do break a
string while playing, ignore it, keep the time, and move on. Nothing
impresses an audience like a musician overcoming the disability
created by a broken string.
