And everything I expected. It's a nice (no, make that great) sounding and
playing guitar out of the box... but I'm sure it'll get better with a
little abuse (i.e. playing in). I ordered it a day or two after I heard the
specs.;

00 size
mahogany s/b
sitka top
12 fret
25.5" scale
1.75" nut
satin finish (Larrivee -03 level basics with some extras, herringbone
rosette, abalone logo and silver border on the headstock, etc.)

I had a bone saddle installed. I need to look and figure out if I like the
pickguard they sent or a clear one. I need to let it acclimate to my
ambient environment and see if the setup needs tweaking but like I say, it
is everything I expected and even a little more. I'm looking forward to a
new friend.

Looks good Ed, pity it hasn't got a short scale too which would make it
perfect (remembering, I think, that you fancy a short scale). I'm sure
that won't worry you though.

Yeah, a little shorter scale would be nice (24.5) but I'm really liking
this... a different voice than the parlor. A cutaway would have been nice.
There's not much I play up there but I don't play it without the cut. It is
a little tight, but I'm sure playing it will loosen it up. (Hoping I'm
using the right descriptive words for what I mean.) As I've told a couple
people already, it sounds and feels like "my guitar". I'm almost ready to
let the case close on it and get that first ding out of the way. (grin)

Nice, my favourite size and shape, very similar to my Gibson L-00 except it
is 12-fret with the bridge set further back Even the bridge is the same
style.

All the best for your new guitar Ed. Thanks for sharing the photos. Is
that a custom nut width? I`ve a couple of 12 Fret Martins with 1.78"
nut width and I love `em.

Looks great, Ed! The clean, understated looks of Larivees (including
their satin finish) always looks classy to me. Post some more close ups.

The cardboard box looks very nice. ;>)

Nice looking guitar too. Have fun, though it seem you already are.

I've had this sucker for all of 5 days now... it has occurred to me that I
haven't had a capo on it yet. It's also occurred to me that though I like
the sound, I'm really ready to change the Cleartones on it for a set of J
Pearse P. Bronze. It's a very different voice than the parlor I love but
not so different that it's foreign and unusable.

Dang, but ain't it a good time to be a guitar player (or close approximation
like me).
