The description on my order confirm says "Carry Me Home with Doug Harmon".
No respect at all. :-)
BTW, how'd it go with Crave Dog?
Steve Hawkins
Sheesh, the poor guy! This has never happened before!! <g> We'll see
what we can do about this, and thanks, Steve, for the heads-up.
> BTW, how'd it go with Crave Dog?
Superbly. At about the time they'd estimated they'd be finishing
assembly and shrinkwrapping they sent us an email saying they'd just
shipped it to us. We received product in Austin on Dec 11, Cravedog
having received all necessary files from us as of Tues Nov 17.
They handled the smaller drop-shipments to Novato CA and Greenville CA
properly. They maintained communcation perfectly, responding almost
immediately to inquiries from us.
I'd work with them again, happily.
That said, there certainly can be promotional benefits to working with
OasisCD for some artists, and it pained me some to turn away from them.
I have long considered Micah Solomon to be on the leading edge of promo
concepts to help independent artists, and of providing less
environmentally damaging packaging options. But when I didn't get
prompt, or any, responses to my emails, but received automated replies
from a Discmakers address, I was deprived of confidence that we'd be
able to pull this off quickly without screw-ups.

Uh, in a word, "Done".

My order said the same thing, but I took it to mean that "Carry Me Home"
implied Hank and Shaidri.

Bever rely on "implied" in the music biz. :-)
Steve Hawkins
Interesting and right. CD Baby put Doug's name with the album title, and
our names as artist. Now we'll probably have to pay Doug more to keep
him in the band!

All you guys, if you haven't already got a copy of this CD, go buy one!
Shaidri is always an absolute pleasure to listen to, and Hank doesn't
suck too bad, either. Doug Harmon's cello adds a great bass/baritone
line to the arrangements.
Hank and Shaidri have that "blood harmony" thing going. The recording
and production ARE "all that" -- listen to them and you'll hear "great",
and you'll know how it is better than "real good".
My favorite songs on the CD, by a lot, are "If I Don't Get You" and
"Carry Me Home" -- both written by Hank Alrich.
And -- far from being a "front-loaded" CD -- "Carry Me Home" is the last
song! There are so many good ones they could afford to put one of the
best at the end. The pickins are THICK here!
Go buy a bunch of copies, give them to all your friends, send them to
all the radio stations in the world! And if you get the chance, go see
Hank and Shaidri in person -- you will not be disappointed.

"Yer implied check is in the so-called mail"
Sure, Don; here's the scoop for ordering directly from us, paying old
fashioned style via check or money order.

listed below to:
Armadillo Records
PO Box 9280
Austin TX 78766
Pricing is:
$15/unit, including shipping to non-Texas residents of the mainland
lower 48 states.
$16/unit, including shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.
$16.24/unit for Texas residents, including shipping and TX state sales
tax.
And thank you for asking!
CD Baby was out of stock for awhile, but my copy came today. Everything
Al says is the truth. This album is phenomenal!

Thanks, guys. We do our best, even while wishing we could do better.
CD Baby has fixed the glitch in their search engine, whereby anything
following an ampersand was ignored. Certainly we are not the only artist
with an & in our name.
Now, if we can get Lonestar Music and Waterloo Records (who have moved
our product over the counter here in Austin) to find us, maybe we'll get
somewhere... <g>
