Our church's music is in A-flat. Can this be found somewhere in G, or
lower? There us no problem in transposing a vocal part. THe problem
is to give the accompanist something that is readily played.

Scan it and transpose the scan. A very effective program for doing so is
Music Publisher from Braeburn Software.

Yes, well, our church isn't yet into music software. Our music budget
is about $200 for the fiscal year. So, I repeat the question, is
there a published version in G, or lower, that we can purchase? I can
put up the money to buy a few copies. But I don't know who has the
money to buy software.

I've searched the internet and can't find a version in G listed anywhere.
(B-flat seems to be the original and standard key.) So, if you wish, I will
make a transposition into G. Please contact me off-group with your e-mail

your-A flat version the original solo or a choral arrangement?
