P.S.: This is my first post, so if I've fucked it up, be forgiving.
>Question: Has anyone out there heard of a NIN live CD?
The only live NIN CD I've heard is Solid Gold Hell. It's pretty good,
actually. Recorded at two seperate shows. One stateside and one overseas.

In a previous article, nolt...@crow.csrv.uidaho.edu (The Shadow) says:

Not sure if it's the one you're looking for, but there's a live
NIN CD called 'Solid Gold Hell'. I'm not sure if it's a bootleg or if
it's legitimate and I have no idea whatsoever where to get it. Someone
I know found it, and there seems to be no more left in this stupid town.
Boy, I'm helpful.

About three weeks ago I posted (or *thought* I posted) a response to a
similar question about NIN Live albums. It seems to have been lost in the
mail, so here it is again in its entirety. Hope it answers your questions
(4+ Boots exist; I have 4 of them, and they're referred to below by title
and include track listings, comments and details about sources).
Maybe someone could put this stuff in the FAQ?

Not bad, especially the first four tracks, recorded in Vienna in '91,
directly off the mixing desk (ie. Not much background noise). The rest
is pretty sad, recorded at some big gig in the US and featuring some
lively social discourse and stupid sing-alongs as well as Mr Reznor and Co
doing their thing.
I've seen various CD-slick styles, ranging from a single-sheet to a small
booklet of the company's releases and a big pic of Trent at work, and some
discs are colour-overprinted with the Reznor photo while others are plain.
The cover is pretty poor, but this is THE classic bootleg NIN.
The address of the company is:

Not great. Eleven tracks we've all heard before recorded by an amateur with
a cassette recorder at a not wonderful gig in New Orleans. Sadly, the
excellent cover and graphics make this a must-own: really pretty reasonable.

Hmmm... Looks like some more PHM and the covers from Broken. Hmm...
and the recordings not great either, and there are weenies singing along.
Why did I buy these again?
(Credible cover BTW, although the tracklist on the back is about equivalent
to early 242's level of graphic mastery ;) ).

Crap cover on this, but at least it moves about a bit with some welcome
non-US material (them fur'ners don't know the words!).

>Amazingly, I found all these selections in the same shop
>The clincher---they were all priced at $29.99!!!
I bought mine in the same shop also, but they were $19.95 each.
Check out Generation Records in NYC (sorry, I haven't got their
adress to hand).
They're a lot cheaper in the UK BTW; I got Solid Gold Hell for 8 pounds
there for a friend.
>are they possibly in danger of CD rot
Maybe. Who knows?
The only new material on these bootlegs, besides the audience noise that is,
seems to consist of the Now I'm Nothing bit at the beginning of the
odd version of Terrible Lie. I hope "Downward Spiral" has more.
PS. My Vinyl 10" of BFPT includes an extended remix of Screaming Slave by
Reznor and Tori Amos...
(End of Previous Post)
Hope that's some help. BTW, there are at least two videos of NIN Live around,
but I don't have details (Generation sells at least one of them).

The only one I know of is _Solid Gold Hell_, available as an import from
Cocomelos Records. Decent enough, although I wouldn’t rave about it. The
first four tracks have the best recording quality, the rest of them were
obviously recorded from somewhere in the audience, and on some you can hear
more of the testosterone-laden ass next to the tape recorder singing than
Trent! <grin> I figure it’s worth having for those first four tracks...but
if you can get it used, do that before blowing the money for the full
import price.
