Stupid question: There was this song that had an industrial feel
to it that I heard at a club last night... The only words I remember
weren't english, but they were something like: "Ich bin ein hauslander"
(forgive me... I don't speak german. That was just a phonetic attempt.)
Has anybody heard this song? What's it called and who does it?

Thanks,
Coire

FYI, that phrase also shows up (briefly) in a techno song by Misteria
called "Who Killed JFK". I'm pretty sure it's the same German phrase except
it's sampled from Kennedy.

OK, about a million people have answered this already but I just
thought I'd add that, as well as the original version of it on
'Dos Dedos Mes Amigos', there is also a pretty cool version of it
on PWEI's 2 CD remix album ('Two Fingers My Friend') that was
mixed by Die Krupps (although a lot of the other song mixes are
a bit boring).

Just had to make my point.... :)

Pigface never did Ich Bin Ein Auslander. I don't have the first EP, but on
the rest of the albums the closest you get is War Ich Nicht Immer... on
Gub. (As far as the name goes at least.)

Yeah, and Wierd Al did a cover, soon-to-be-released, of the song, "Ich Bin Ein
Auslander."

It's called, "Is Bjork an Icelander."

Purely in the interest of mind-numbing accuracy, what Kennedy says is,
"Ich Bin Ein Berliner." (German nationals: Does this really translate
to "I Am A Jelly Donut," or is somebody having me on?) This sample and
its context also appear in the song "Kennedy" by Deep Thought off the
"Welcome to Technology" compilation.

In which case it would be Ich bin ein Berliner.

Hmm...Kennedy never said "Ich Bin Ein Auslander" in any public speaking
engagements. You must be thinking of "Ich Bin Ein Berliner"
