Not that it makes it true, but I have heard this same rumor... more that Cevin
was playing drums... not that they were playing Puppy material... although
Download did when I saw them, so who knows?

From the official Ohgr website (ohgr.org):

"touring opening act has been selected: hocico. there is also a
currently on-going negotiation in which a second opening act would
pick up with us sometime clevelandish or after."

whether or not this is happening (and apparently, it isn't), doesn't anyone
else find it odd that Ohgr (a relatively mainstream act) would pick one of the
most obscure conventional electro bands as their opening act? Yeah, there's
"industrial" music as a general category, but most of the top tier acts take
great care to separate themselves from the lower, so I'm not quite sure how
this happened.

i think its the whole thing that even tho a very mainstream sound its
clear the there is an anti-record company theme going on here, plus
hocico is a great live act, and i think he wanted to be able to play
with a good act, not just soem half-assed americans, yeh know give the
people something worthwhile

I'm really confused.... I heard nothing about this tour at all until I read
it
on rmi 10 minutes ago..... then I went to ticketmaster and bought a ticket.
Is it possible that I'm going to see cevin key & ogre? Or is this all a big
joke? Why weren't the tickets sold out? Is anyone else going to see them
in
Chicago? Why are they playing on a Wed. night? I guess that's all the
questions I have for now.... I feel like I'm in the twilight zone here.

Keep in mind also, that the artists very rarely choose their opening acts
themselves. This is usually done handled by booking agents, the promoters, and
occasionally the record companies.

Yes, the new Allied Vision album 'MMBO' (Man Must Be Overcome) should
be out now, on the band's own Intracraneal Possession label. I got an
advance copy from Oscar a couple of weeks ago, and I think I can
safely say that if you liked 'Unburied' you will love this one. It's
more aggressive and relentless, but still has that impressive
combination of dense atmospherics, fiendishly intricate rhythms and
infectious danceability. Thebastard offspring of Haujobb and In
Slaughter Natives...? And the track titles / lyrics are similarly
unique - e.g. 'Ghosts Behind Hate' and 'Embodied Screw'. It also comes
in a very, very nice digipack.

hmmmmm... i might pick it up. I havent bought any new industrial in a while (I
got Welt for free, luckily). I wonder if I can go from listening to Sunny Day
and Red House Painters back to something as harsh as Allied Vision. I liked
"unburied" for what it was. Oh, and I was being sarcastic about the song
titles. Some of the worst I have ever seen. I have little patience for a
bands "I'm evil" posturing level. Willit be released on Gashed! again?

Yep. I liked When I Call Upon Your Seed and If I Hear Goodnight the best,
but it was largely just some wanking around. The other Low/Dirty Three
splits are better, esp. the tour one with Obvious Is Obvious by D3 on it.

I liked it for the most part, although i could have done without the last song.
I liked "Cody" and "Invitation day" as well. Maybe i'll have to check out
both bands other stuff... this was my first purchase with these guys on it.

Oh really? Damn.

Dirty Three is one of the most prominant bands in the "slocore" genre.
They're largely considered one of the best successors to Slint. My
favorite tracks by them are Indian Love Song, Obvious Is Obvious, Black
Tide, and Zero Is A Number Too.

Low is probably one of the most essential bands to come out in the last 15
years for the "rock" genre. Check out the album "Things We Lost In The
Fire," as I think its just great. You really just can't go wrong with
anything by Low, though, IMO. Not all of it is breathtaking, but none of
it is outright bad.

I have heard of Low, but i dont think i ever actually heard them. i am really
enjoying "In the Fishtank" and I am a total sucker for slow, emotional, indie
type stuff, so maybe i'll look for more Dirty Three. I'll be sure to check out
TWLiF once my new Red House Painters gets in.

Wow, its good to know i can get info on bands thats arent industrial on RMI.
Maybe i'll start a new thread....:)Thanks.

to second, (despite my paltry number of albums from both, or limited
formats). perhaps you should look into slowcore in general? codeine is
quite good as well.

oh and low's one more reason to forget (live soundboard. in a church i
think. great quality, wonderful acoustics) is a nice pick up. horse
stories or ocean songs is probably the best place to start with dirty
three.

Don't expect too much. Me and e n - are the resident indie rockers.

If you're interested in hearing some music in that vein, I run a radio show
late nights EST online.

deconstructing-man.com/radio/

I play lots of stuff like Low and Dirty Three and a whole broad field
ranging from the classic (Breeders, Belly) to the new (Cecil Seaskull
*swoon*, Dismemberment Plan).

i would gladly listen, but my computer is pretty lame and probably couldnt
handle it. I do a show out of my college in Richmond, IN. My freind and I
used to play exclusively industiral/ebm/experimental, but in the last year or
so, we've gone total indie rock. We have a healthy collection of stuff, but
always looking for more.

If you can run Winamp and have a 56k modem, I can guarantee you can hear my

Hello everybody interested on Allied Vision.
Well, after some problems with Zoth Ommog and after that with MCT
Allied Vision decided to set their own label, Intracraneal Possession.
So MMBO is now avalaible. If you live in UK you can order to
Resurrection Records and if you live in other european country you can
order to Audioglobe, or otherwise ask in your shop for it, cos is now
out!

If you live in USA at the moment there´s no distribution. That means
we are working on that, so please have patience..

Anyway, you can order copies of the new cd directly to Oscar Storm
writting here:

st...@euskalnet.net

Also have a look to:
http://www.allied-vision.com

The US page seems to be down and it´s not uptodated.. so check new
stuff in the website above where you can listen some tracks of MMBO.

Thanks for your attention and support!
