Alan,

I saw one here, on RMI, advertised for US$35. However, it can be
purchased here in Atlanta for US$19 at Blockbuster Video. Try,
Blockbuster (even though I HATE them) or Tower Records (good store) near
you. If they don't have it....they WILL order it for you.

Why bother? Angels vs Animals sucks. It's terrible, much below F242
quality. I'm keeping my copy for the collection, but it's not because
I might want to listen to it someday. From what I remember, it is a
lot of crappy remixes of Evil Off with the lyrics removed and replaced by
boring gimmics.

If you really want a copy, you might check cdeurope (telnet cdeurope.com),
but it'll be expensive and you won't like what you get.

I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with Greg on this one. Keep in mind that
this is not an attack on his opinion, nor do I mean to imply that I am
right, it is simply another opinion offered as a counterpoint.
Angels Vs. Animals is different than alot of past 242 stuff indeed. While
one or two of the remixes have a tendency to get repetetive, there are
redeeming qualities in the tracks that are completely new and different.
"L'ange Moderne" for example is I beleive the first track by 242 in which
I have heard the liberal and deliberate use of a piano, and while the
overall scheme of the track follows in the 'variations on a theme' feeling
of the whole disc, it is very new and quite well done. The last track
reminds me of alot of the stuff off of KMFDM's UAIOE, believe it or not,
probably due to the slight accent of the vocalist.
In all, it's a good disc to have, but keep in mind (if you haven't heard
it) that it is in fact an ep-oriented disc, and that it is also apparently
quite experimental, which does however follow in suit with recent 242
undertakings.

Listen and learn
me.

Are you smoking crack? Did someone shove twigs in your ears?

Angels vs. Animals is worth finding (and it's really NOT that hard to
find). Not only being brilliantly remixed, while taking the 242 project
into a completely new direction, it may be the last album they ever put
out. Every damn track is an aggresive, ass-kicking romp into an
uber-abuse zone. Haunting and terrorizing in the same breath. No other
band I've heard recently has put out an album that sounds like A. vs. A.,
and that is pretty damn impressive when most of the crap coming out
recently sounds like 8 other bands' crap.

The lyrics, by the way, were only removed on Der Verfluchte Engel and
L'Ange Moderne; neither of which need lyrics.

If you can find a local Camelot records (I don't know how big the chain
is), ask if they can get it. That's where I found mine, believe it or not,
about two weeks ago...and earlier in the week, I saw that they had another
copy out on the shelves. I was impressed.

Oh...sweet disc, too. <grin> Sorry, I'm holding onto this one. Especially
track 8, L'ange Moderne.

Just how rare is this thing, anyway?
