20th July : Remembering Geeta Dutt

20th July is the death anniversary of Geeta Dutt ji. It will be 37
years since she has left us for heavens.

Geeta Dutt fans will be making this is special day with launching of
the upgraded version of our website www.geetadutt.com. The upgraded
version will have a menu based navigation system, a jukebox and a
video player.

We will also have a 2 hour special Radio program on HF radio
(www.hamaraforums.com) where we will play songs of Geeta ji.

Inviting all to join us.

Thanks to everyone associated with the site for a great site. I am
amazed and heartened to find a number of well researched articles on
the site. Most impressive are articles on her association with various
composers. Equally impressive are the songs posted on youtube (they
were 250+ when I last checked, much more than HMV has made available -
kudos on all fans and shame on HMV).

I will try to mail a few additions and corrections in the next few
days.

Thanks for your encouraging words. By now we have 300 plus videos on
our YT channel
http://www.youtube.com/user/wwwgeetaduttcom

and about 250 songs on our own website which one can listen to using
the Jukebox feature.

Indian TV channel Mahuaa TV will be showing a news item on our website
www.geetadutt.com on this Sunday 26th July 2009. The news item will be
shown at 12:30 in the afternoon and again at 5:30 in the evening. This
will be the first media coverage to our website. Please tune in to see
the news item.

We hope more and more people know about Geeta ji and about our
website.

Let me add my thanks for the excellent videos of Geeta Dutt's songs on
YouTube (wwwgeetaduttcom). It is hearting to see someone (or someones)
putting in so much effort in digging out and posting video clips from
many old (golden era), rare-to-find movies.
