Hi Abhay,
This is from the movie "Aakhir Kyon?" as rightly stated by
you. It was produced and directed by J. Om Prakash. Incidentally all
of J. Om Prakash's films have titles which start with the letter "A".
And this film came in 1981 methinks, so it is not very "new". MD is
LP AFAIK.

Sure can and the movie was indeed Aakhir kyun. another one from the same song
is
apne hi giraate hain nasheman pe bijliyaan
gairon ne to _ _ daaman thaam liya hai
Another one which sort of expresses the same sentiment is
Aap gairon ki baat karte hain, hamne apne bhi aazmaaye hain
